How to Make Bircher Muesli and Wow Your Fans!
Bircher Muesli is such a versatile breakfast. Enjoy it as an everyday brekkie using the Food Lovers Meal Planner or jazz it up to wow your house guests! I love made with untoasted muesli, but raw rolled oats works well too.
This recipe serves one person but it can be easily upsized for a crowd and even made ahead!
3 Step Basic Bircher Muesli Recipe
Ingredients
1/3 cup untoasted muesli or raw rolled oats
1/2 cup boiling water
1/3 cup no-added sugar low fat fruit flavoured yogurt
1/2 cup fresh fruit
edible flowers (optional)
pinch flaked almonds (to
fresh mint leaves to garnish (optional)
Method
- Pour 1/2 cup boiling water onto 1/3 cup muesli/oats and leave this mixture overnight in the fridge.
- In the morning, stir through 1/3 cup no-added low fat yogurt.
- Serve in a bowl with fruit and optional garnishes.

1 SERVE is equal to 1 larger carb, 1/2 dairy and 1/2 fruit using the Food Lovers Meal Planner
Bircher Muesli for a Crowd
- Also good made in larger quantities and layered with extra yogurt and fruit in a glass trifle dish. For six people use 2 cups each of untoasted muesli or raw rolled oats and yogurt. Soak the muesli or oats with 3 cups of boiling water.
