Meals and Snacks for Travelling Near or Far
Travelling for work or pleasure can be very challenging, but here’s a few ideas to help you choose waistline- friendly meals and snacks.
Snacks
When you’re travelling you never know what will be available so do take some waistline-friendly snacks like a yoghurt…
…or a piece of fruit!
Breakfast
Breakfast buffets can be tricky! Often food is already portioned and serves are big!
But sometimes the answer can be to take some fruit and the portioned dish, but only serve yourself part of it on your plate.
If the food is not already portioned out then it’s much easier to just take a little of what you like the look of.
Lunch and Dinner
In fact any buffet can work well if you just take small serves of the best!
Airport Lounges
If you’re travelling and using an airport lounge you can be very creative with breakfast using just the basic ingredients on offer.
For a lunch or dinner meal or king crab it can work to add a little of the hot main dish on top of salad vegetables.
Coffees
Do watch the milky coffees and treat them more like a snack (like a yoghurt) than a drink. A piccolo coffee can be useful if you want a less filling coffee.

Thanks for bringing our focus back to eating wisely while travelling – it’s so easy to lose the plot and then its hard work undoing the damage.

It’s so much easier to have a bit of a plan even if you only partly pull it off!
